Meet the Founder
Mrs Mamokhela Mofokeng

More than 12 years of social work experience. A deeper understanding of what it means to be cared for.
For more than 12 years, Mamokhela Mofokeng has worked across diverse areas of social work practice, witnessing the complexity of people’s lives, relationships, responsibilities and challenges.
Her experience has shaped a clear conviction: resilience should not mean having to cope alone. People deserve to be heard, supported with dignity and encouraged to recognise their own needs before they reach exhaustion.
Mamokhela envisioned a space where professional social work and everyday self-care could meet — where seeking support is a sign of wisdom, wellbeing is treated as essential and self-care reaches beyond occasional moments of indulgence.
Through MofCare, she brings together her professional experience and her commitment to self-care advocacy. The result is a range of services, programmes, workshops and practical experiences designed to help people understand themselves, care for themselves and move through life with greater support.
Her vision is especially informed by the realities of mothers, teenagers, families and individuals who give generously to others while finding little time or permission to care for themselves.

MofCare is her invitation to begin differently. Not by abandoning your responsibilities. Not by pretending to have everything under control. Not by waiting until you are depleted before asking for help. But by recognising, with honesty and compassion, that you are also worthy of care.
